Consultation on the Curriculum and Assessment (Wales) Bill

Evidence submitted to the Children, Young People and Education Committee for Stage 1 scrutiny of the Curriculum and Assessment (Wales) Bill.

About you

Individual

1.        The Bill’s general principles

1.1         Do you support the principles of the Curriculum and Assessment (Wales) Bill?

No

1.2         Please outline your reasons for your answer to question 1.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1500 words)

It is complicit with the sexualisation of children and highly inappropriate. Especially the fact that we cannot opt out of it.

1.3         Do you think there is a need for legislation to deliver what this Bill is trying to achieve?

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 500 words)

No there is not. Sexual education has done well up to this point. Why do you need to teach children, as young as 5, how to pleasure themselves? Why does my 9 year old child need to learn about pleasuring herself and different types of sexual activity? There is absolutely no need to introduce harmful information such as this to children and take away our right to disapprove!!

2.        The Bill’s implementation

2.1         Do you have any comments about any potential barriers to implementing the Bill? If no, go to question 3.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 500 words)

I fully support any concerns of fellow politicians and parents in implementing this bill. This should never be approved or go any further than this consultation.

As parents we want this RSE nonsense to be scrapped, therefore we are the barrier.

2.2         Do you think the Bill takes account of these potential barriers?

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 500 words)

No it does not.

3.        Unintended consequences

3.1         Do you think there are there any unintended consequences arising from the Bill? If no, go to question 4.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 500 words)

Child sexual exploitation, sexual maturity far too young, increased cases of paedophilia, increased cases of sexual assault. Mental harm to children, confusion, bullying, the list is endless. Paedophilia is rife among education, so why give them the chance to prey on our children and abuse them legally.

How can something that fails to safeguard children be legislated??

4.        Financial implications

4.1         Do you have any comments on the financial implications of the Bill (as set out in Part 2 of the Explanatory Memorandum)? If no, go to question 5.1

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 500 words)

Waste of money and it will be us parents that foot the bill regardless.

5.        Powers to make subordinate legislation

5.1         Do you have any comments on the appropriateness of the powers in the Bill for Welsh Ministers to make subordinate legislation (as set out in Chapter 5 of Part 1 of the Explanatory Memorandum). If no, go to question 6.1.

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 500 words)

Just throw the bill in the bin and concentrate on educating our children and teaching them to be happy adults that can make informed decisions and live good lives.

There is no opt out provision and there is a breach of parents rights.

6.        Other considerations

6.1         Do you have any other points you wish to raise about this Bill?

(we would be grateful if you could keep your answer to around 1000 words)

I, as have many others have joined a campaign to revoke this bill and we will not rest until our children are protected and allowed to be children, not sexual beings.

I guarantee you will see many children being home schooled to protect them from this disgusting path that you are trying to create.
